Copy Writing Goodness
Hi all,
Thought I'd share a great link I found today. Let me know what you think by commenting below.
I really liked the article, especially how describing and giving examples on featuring yourself towards different audiences. For example, the Appsumo description. The first one as a customer made me comfortable and made me want to try it out, whereas the second one made me feel extremely uncomfortable and not professional, which then made me think about my background as a fashion marketing major.
I enjoyed the article! Love that it keys in on your lecture topics. I have heard "Write drunk. Edit sober." quote before and I find it to helpful to expand my original ideas. The edit part is very important I might add. On a more serious note I also apply to my everyday life of Reading a good book. I haven't had much talent when it came to writing but I do work on it constantly to find my voice. And I did find reading help tremendously. I never was much of a reader growing up, but now that I read with a purpose. I'm hooked. Every time I read anything, a magazine article, a specific story in the newspaper, novels, I always reflect and journal my thoughts. I document my reactions, what spoke to me what didn't and why. I also write what I think would have improved my experience with the writing (what was missing if there is anything). I also expand on the main idea. Did it spark inspiration for something else, did it motivate me to research the topic, etc. This process has really helped to get my creative juices flowing when it comes to content writing. Thanks!!
I enjoyed this. It was helpful proofing what I have already written and stashed some of the other principles for the future!
